#1 Producer 2025 · Nest Realty Roanoke

REALTOR® and Operations Manager at Nest Realty in Roanoke. I’ve always been more interested in people than sales. Real estate just happens to be the way I get to serve them — across Roanoke, Salem, Smith Mountain Lake and Southwest Virginia.

No form to fill out just to find out whether I can help. Start here and I’ll meet you where you actually are.
I’m buying
First house, next house, or the one you’ve been driving past for a year. Honest numbers, a lender who answers the phone, and someone who will talk you out of the wrong house.
Start the searchI’m selling
A real number from real Roanoke Valley comps — not a computer’s guess. Pricing, prep, photography, and a written plan for what happens if week three goes quiet.
See what it’s worthI’m moving here
Coming to Roanoke from somewhere else? Video tours, commute math, school boundaries, and the difference between Grandin and Cave Spring explained by someone who lives it.

What is your house actually worth right now?
Zillow has never seen your kitchen. I’ll pull live Roanoke Valley MLS comps, walk your street, and send you a real range — plus the two or three things that would move that number the most.
Takes 40 seconds. You get a reply from me, not a drip campaign.
How a deal actually runs
Four stages. I’ve watched every one of them go wrong.
Running operations for the office means I see every file, not just my own — including the ones that fall apart. This is the process I built out of that.
Strategy before showings
Numbers, financing and a written plan first. Touring houses without that is how people fall in love with something they can’t close on.
Pricing and positioning
Live MLS comps, condition, and the honest read on your street — then a listing plan with defined checkpoints, not hope.
Negotiation
Inspection, appraisal, repairs, credits. This is where deals die, and where having seen a hundred of them matters most.
Closing, watched
Title, lender, dates, contingencies. Your file is tracked by the person who runs the system the whole office closes through.
Roanoke Valley
Every neighborhood has a personality. Here’s the honest version.
In their words
The part I’m actually proud of.
★★★★★Over the past few years I’ve sold three houses. The first two made me decide to go “for sale by owner” on the last one. However, life circumstances changed, and that’s when I met Renée. Initially I believed real estate agents didn’t earn their money, that houses sold themselves, and that agents were solely focused on selling — but Renée proved me wrong on all these points and more. She has a unique way of letting you know that she’s working for you. She exudes confidence and is not afraid to make decisions based on what she knows is best for her clients.
★★★★★Renée is absolutely amazing! Was available anytime we had questions, even with me working night shift, and always followed through with every little question and step along the way even when she didn’t have to. 100% recommended to anyone but especially if you are a first time home buyer! Knowledgeable, so sweet, and will make sure you are happy and confident with every step!
★★★★★When we first reached out to view a house through Zillow, we had no idea how lucky we were that we were paired up with Renée! She is a phenomenal realtor and helped us figure out what we were looking for in a house, kept us grounded when the search seemed futile, and guided us through the purchasing process with no hiccups! She is an expert at listening to your needs, getting to know you as a person, and finding that perfect home that fits your needs. She is positive, professional, and fun.

Who you’d be working with
It isn’t really about homes.
It’s about people and the lives they’re building. Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make, and I don’t think anyone should feel rushed or pressured into it.
I also don’t think you should have to become a real estate expert to make a great real estate decision — that’s my job. I’ll explain the why, point out the things you may not notice, answer the questions you didn’t even know to ask, and fiercely protect your interests. Sometimes that means telling you not to buy a house. I’ll absolutely do that.
I’d rather earn your trust than simply earn a commission, because relationships will always matter more to me than transactions.
Top producer at Nest Realty Roanoke in 2025, number two the year before, and now Operations Manager for the office — which means your file gets watched by the person who runs the system every deal here closes through.
#NeverSettle has become part of my brand and, honestly, part of my life.
#1 Producer, 2025
Highest volume in the office — earned in a market where a lot of agents left the business.
Operations Manager
Runs the systems the entire Roanoke office closes through.
Fun 2 Know facts
Math degree
Bachelor’s in Math. I was convinced I’d end up working for the NSA someday.
Languages
Greeting someone in their own language is one of the simplest ways to say “I see you.”
Work to save, save to travel
Experiences with the people you love outlast just about everything else.
Cribbage and dogs
If I could spend more time playing cribbage, spoiling my dogs and laughing with good company, I absolutely would.
Straight answers
Questions people actually ask me.
Okay, how do you actually say Fonteneau?
Fon-ten-oh. Most people know me as Fun2Know — a nickname that started as a play on my last name, but eventually stuck for reasons that had very little to do with my last name.
What areas around Roanoke do you serve?
Roanoke City, Salem, Vinton and all of Roanoke County — including Cave Spring, Hollins, Back Creek and Bent Mountain. Also Botetourt County (Daleville, Troutville, Fincastle), Blue Ridge, Boones Mill, Smith Mountain Lake, and out toward Christiansburg and the New River Valley. Recent closings span six different municipalities, so if you’re not sure whether I cover your area, just ask.
How much does it cost a buyer to work with you?
Buyer representation and compensation are negotiable, and we agree on it in writing before we tour a single house. The first conversation costs you nothing, and I’ll explain exactly how agent compensation works now — it changed in 2024 and most people still have it wrong.
How long does it take to sell a house in Roanoke?
It depends on price point, condition and neighborhood — a well-priced house in Grandin behaves very differently from one in Botetourt. Before your listing goes live you’ll have a pricing plan built on current Roanoke Valley MLS data, plus a written plan for what we do if week three goes quiet.
Can you help me relocate to Roanoke from out of state?
Yes, and it’s some of my favorite work. You get walkthrough videos shot by me, honest commute math, school boundary maps, and introductions to lenders, inspectors and movers who won’t waste your time.
Should I sell before I buy, or buy before I sell?
The honest answer is “it depends on your equity and your risk tolerance,” and anyone who answers faster than that is selling you something. We’ll run both versions with real numbers — including bridge options — before you commit.
